COINCIDENCE– an illustration exhibition showcases both Haoran’s digital arts. The reception is held on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, 6 pm to 9 pm.
Haoran Hu, a graduate from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Art, was an art major concentrating on Illustration. Most of his works are story-telling pieces. Haoran Hu prefers doing his work traditionally because he believes the random texture of the paper is hard to imitate with digital painting. He is good at using different painting styles to express diverse textual content. Haoran Hu is very committed to the visualization of the text and the story. He is currently specializing in the children’s book and novel market.
Haoran Zhang，a graduate from Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology was a Fashion Design major. He has a solid fashion illustration background. Zhang likes manipulating disparate materials in his works. He aims to create clever visual illustrations to represent complex topics. Through his use of light and color, along with a heavy dose of imagination and grandeur, he creates compelling environments and characters that leap from his illustrations and take action to tell the stories he weaves. His style combines digital media with textures of scanned found objects, in order to give his illustrations a warm and evocative atmosphere; The project he is currently working on is about Chinese folk tales and mythology. Haoran Zhang also has experience in the advertising illustration market.
